Professional Counselor Associate, QMHP

My journey at ElRod started shortly after I moved to Oregon in 2018, first as a graduate intern and now as a Professional Counselor Associate. In that time, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals across various age groups. My aim is to take into consideration the individual differences and developmental stage of each client and family, while always demonstrating respect for the client’s beliefs, customs, and socio-cultural values.

My approach to counseling is founded in empirical research, and combines the use of individual and family counseling strategies together. I am adept in using multiple treatment modalities depending on the client’s needs. Some of these modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Filial Therapy, Art Therapy and Play Therapy. For those looking to integrate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process, I am also trained in how to use biblical counseling in a clinically informed manner.

I am driven by a genuine desire to help others navigate their struggles, improve resilience, embark on journeys of healing and growth and nurture lasting positive change. It is an honor to walk alongside others on their unique journeys, offering guidance, understanding, and a beacon of hope. Being a therapist is more than just a profession. For me, it is a calling to make a meaningful and positive impact in the lives of those who seek support and guidance.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, running and trying new cuisines.
